We may also use other booking partners for links Expedia cannot serve; those links are treated the same way.

What it changes

Nothing about what we recommend. Neighborhoods, hotels, day plans and travel months are chosen on fit for a first-time traveler: location, walkability, safety, value and what the place is like in that season. A hotel appears in a guide because it is a good example of its neighborhood and price band, not because of the commission, which is the same rate across properties.

Nightly rates in our guides are typical ranges at the time of writing, not live prices. Fares, admission prices and opening hours were checked when a guide was published or last updated, and they change. Confirm details on the booking page before you pay.
