Terms of Service
Last updated: May 18, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Mappitt. By creating an account or using Mappitt, you agree to these Terms. Mappitt is operated by [Company Legal Name] (“Mappitt”, “we”, “us”). If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Early access
Mappitt is in early access. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis: features may change, break, or be removed, and data may occasionally be affected as we improve the product. Please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mappitt. Creating an account currently requires a valid invite code. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password and invite code confidential. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
Acceptable use
When using Mappitt, you agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to store unlawful content;
- attempt to access another user’s account or trips;
- probe, scan, disrupt, or overload the service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or build a competing product from the service; or
- misuse the AI companion to generate harmful, abusive, or infringing content.
Your content
You keep all rights to the trips, events, and other content you create in Mappitt (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the service to you — for example, rendering maps, sending an itinerary email you request, or answering an AI companion question. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual copies in backups.
AI features
Mappitt includes an AI companion. AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always verify important details — opening hours, travel times, bookings, visa or safety information — before relying on them. The AI companion is a planning aid, not professional travel advice.
Intellectual property
Mappitt, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without permission.
Termination
You may stop using Mappitt and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as content licenses for backups, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will survive.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mappitt is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mappitt and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, trips, or profits, arising from your use of the service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Mappitt evolves. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
